Born to parents of Ghanaian, Scottish, Irish and Syrian heritage, Arnelle has been a freelance journalist for the last five years within the fashion, lifestyle and associated areas.
She’s interviewed a politician, celebrities and a celebrity stylist, sex workers, academics, psychologists and sociologists, as well as hard-to-access, sensitive case studies. The 22-year-old was interviewed live on the Islam Channel in June 2016 to talk about her career, and offer advice to aspiring journalists.
Key skills include directing, scriptwriting, editing (Final Cut Pro) as well as photography/camera skills.
The City University of London journalism graduate is currently tackling the world of TV on Channel 4’s highly competitive Production Training scheme, and hopes to go on to produce and present documentaries arena, centred around issues that go far beyond the news agenda.
Miss Paterson hopes to conquer the TV (on and off camera), radio and writing industries.
